Layer-2 Interface Commands
switchport protected uplink
Specifies the port to isolate (protect) and an uplink interface. Disabled by default.
Command Mode:

Syntax
[no] switchport protected uplink { ethernet <port id> | port-channel
<trunk id> }
Description
■
ethernet <port id>
- Sepcifies the ethernet port to be used as an uplink interface.
■
port-channel <trunk id>
- Sepcifies port channel to be used as an uplink interface.
■
no switchport protected uplink
- Disables port isolation.
Example
!Enables port isolation on port 4 and sets the uplink to port 20.
