VLAN Commands
map protocol
Enables (creates) or disables (deletes) protocol vlan groups. Disabled by default.
Command Mode: Global Configuration
Syntax
[no] map protocol {IP | novell | netbios | appletalk | other <aa:aa>}
{enet-v2 | snap | llc} protocols-group <Group id(0-2147483647)>
Description
■
{IP | novell | netbios | appletalk | other <aa:aa>}
- Specifies standard
protocols. Other is a user defined protocol and format is <aa:aa>.
■
{enet-v2 | snap | llc}
- Specifies the encap frame type.
■
protocols-group <Group id(0-2147483647)>
- Specifies the protocol group ID.
■
no map protocol
- Disables (deletes) protocol vlan groups.
Example
!Enables (creates) vlan group 1 with protocol IP and encap frame type
enet-v2
Switch(config)# map protocol IP enet-v2 protocols-group 1
Switch(config)#
!Enables (creates) vlan group 2 with protocol other ff:ff and encap
frame type llc (ipx-raw).
