25. Clutch Cover

Ensure the clutch control lever is fitted
properly. Refer section.

Ensure the dowel pins (a) are seated
properly on crankcase.

Install gasket (a) on crankcase if
necessary smear engine oil and ensure it
is properly seated on dowels. Do not use
any sealant or adhesive.

Ensure racks on the clutch pull rod is facing
towards the rear of th engine.

Hold the clutch cover (a) in position,
rotate the clutchactuating shaft to ensure
it is engaged correctly withthe pull rod and
gently tap cover inside to seat it on the
dowels and crankcase.

Hold clutch cover and rotate clutch
actuating shaft to check for positive
locking.

Locate 14 Nos. Hex socket bolts (M6) (a)
on RH cover and tighten it in criss cross
pattern.

socket with
Ratchet
Gasket

Tighten bolts evenly to specified torque.

Torque wrench
Torque 12 Nm /
1.2 kgf-m
