The grey values are the basic settings performed by the manufacturer at the time these operating instruc-
tions were drawn up. The speed controller of your vehicle may have a different basic setting; observe the
number of flashes of the red LED in this case.
Description of the setting functions:
• Function #1, green LED flashes 1x short + 1x short beep: Drive function
The speed controller can be switched between "forwards/brake" and "forwards/brake/reverse" (reverse driving can
thus be switched off).
• Function #2, green LED flashes 2x short + 2x short beep: Motor brake
If you reduce the throttle at the transmitter or move back the throttle/brake lever into the neutral position, the vehicle
will slow down automatically. The effect is thus exactly like that of the motor-braking function in a "real" car when you
release the throttle pedal without stepping on the brake pedal.
This also corresponds to the brake function of a conventional electric motor (a brushless electric motor does not
have any strong magnets that brake the rotor).
• Function #3, green LED flashes 3x short + 3x short beep: Undervoltage protection
If LiPo drive batteries are used, then you must ensure that the undervoltage protection is activated (we recommend
at least 3.0 V per cell).
The speed controller measures the battery voltage after activation and recognises whether a 2-cell or 3-cell LiPo
drive battery is used. It calculates the deactivation voltage from this.
Therefore, always connect a fully charged drive battery to the speed controller, so that the speed controller
will recognise the correct number of cells and the undervoltage recognition will work properly when driving
the vehicle.
While driving the vehicle, the speed controller will continually monitor the battery voltage.
If the battery voltage drops under the pre-set voltage level per cell, the speed controller will reduce the output power
to 50%. Now stop operating the vehicle. After 10 seconds, the speed controller will switch off the motor to protect
the rechargeable battery from deep discharge.
Example: A fully charged 2-cell LiPo drive battery has a voltage of approx. 8.4 V. If the undervoltage protection is set
to 3.0 V/cell, the speed controller will reduce the output power to 50% when the battery voltage reaches 6.0 V, and
switch off the motor after 10 seconds.
