f) Testing the Failsafe Position
• Place the vehicle on an appropriate surface so that the wheels can turn freely and the vehicle is standing safely.
Never reach into the drive, and do not stop the wheels with your hand.
• Switch on the transmitter first and then the speed controller.
• The vehicle should now be ready for operation and react to the control commands at the transmitter.
• Switch off the transmitter.
• The blue LED at the receiver should flash now; the receiver has recognised failure of the transmitter signal and is in
fail-safe mode. The motor must not turn!
If the motor starts up, start the process described in chapter 9. e) again (first perform pairing, then save the
fail-safe position).
Observe that the throttle lever position is saved as fail-safe position that the receiver observed just before
the programming plug was pulled.
Caution!
If you put the throttle lever at the transmitter to the full throttle position, for example, and then pull out the pro-
gramming plug, the full throttle position will be saved as the fail-safe position! In case of error, this may not
only destroy the vehicle, but also cause severe injury, e.g. to onlookers, if the vehicle cannot be controlled.
