9.4.2.2
Removing or Replacing Receptacles
Continue to Section 9.4.2.3 if the I/O port is being installed in a TLS-4210 library.
TLS-4212 models must have the dual slot receptacles replaced with single slots and
the TLS-4222s must have the receptacles removed before installing the I/O port.
1.
For TLS-4212 models only, use a number 2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the
two screws securing a dual slot receptacles bracket to the carousel and remove
the receptacles. Using the same two screws, secure the single slot receptacles
bracket to the carousel. Repeat for the remaining dual slot receptacles bracket.
See Figure 9-14.
2.
For TLS- 4222 models only, use a number 2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the
two screws securing a receptacles bracket to the carousel and remove the recep-
tacle. Repeat for the remaining receptacle. Save the receptacles and screws in a
safe location for possible future use. See Figure 9-14.

Installing the I/O Port Assembly
1.
Gently turn the I/O port leadscrew by hand to position the I/O port slot in the
middle of the I/O port assembly, so that it will clear the magazine when the as-
sembly is installed in the library (Figure 2-8).
2.
Gently pull on the Call switch button to remove it (Figure 2-8).
3.
Insert the I/O port assembly through the open cabinet door. Be careful not to
damage the Call switch while inserting it through the hole in the TLS’ frame.
4.
Make sure that the LEDs cable is positioned in the center of the cutout in the
TLS’ frame (Figure 9-13).
