Step 7
Carefully remove second cylinder lens mask.
Step 9.
Hold the second cylinder lens by the ends and carefully lift it away from casting.
Wrap second cylinder lens in tissue paper and rest safely on table.
Step 10.
Carefully replace second cylinder lens in reverse order of removal. Follow the
replacement tips outlined below:
• Position second cylinder lens in the center of image area, between the two
outer pins.
• Make sure the black dot on the center edge of lens is facing down toward
base casting with the convex face of 2nd cylinder lens facing away from the
mounting pins.
• Place mask between the flat side of the 2nd cylinder lens and the pins with
the wide portion of mask positioned against the base casting.
• The final mask position requires the mask opening to be approximately
3/16 of an inch away from the left most base casting mounting pin (on
SOL side), to ensure laser beam will not reflect off of the pin.
• When securing the 2nd cylinder lens against the mounting pins with the "L"
bracket, make sure the face of the hex nut will not reflect the laser beam into
the lens. Refer to Figure 7-3.
