Note: The adjustable clutch comes factory set to provide 35 - 40 ounces of tension.
Step 2.
Attach the strain gauge to the string and perform pull test. It should be a constant,
smooth pull action measuring near but not exceeding 40 ounces.
Note: The clutch tension may be fine tuned (up to 40 ounces) as needed, by adjusting the
inner knurled hand nut position on the adjustable clutch. (Refer to Figure 6-1, item #9).
The tension nut is the inside nut and the locking nut is the outside nut.
Step 3.
Turn the locking nut counter-clockwise while holding the tension nut in place.
(This will allow the tension nut to be adjusted as needed.)
Step 4.
Hold the drag roller steady and adjust the tension ring as needed. (Turning the
tension ring clockwise will increase the drag roller and clutch tension.)
Step 5.
After adjusting tension nut, hold tension nut in place and tighten (clockwise) the
locking nut to secure clutch adjustment. .
Step 6.
Measure clutch tension.
Step 7.
Repeat steps 3 through 6 until the clutch tension is set between 35-40 ounces.
Step 8.
Output the PantherPro/46 "Customer Final Copy" test (postscript file) " and
compare to the original samples. Contact Support Services if necessary.
