After the cutting operation, the knife carriage must be positioned at the extreme end (home) of
its stroke (left or right), so it is not pressing down on the hold-down bar; otherwise, media
cannot be advanced and a media jam will occur. Electronic-OPTO sensors, mounted to the
left and right side of the base casting, will be defeated when the knife carriage flag interrupts
the RLED or LLED signals. The electronic-opto sensors are only active when necessary to
avoid fogging the media.
3-6.2.10 Take-up Cassette and Catch Rollers
Adjustable spring loaded catch rollers, mounted to the take-up compartment, fit into the take-
up cassette bottom cover detents.
