Lift and turn the plunger cap handle (located on top of the plunger assembly) 
until the pin locks it in the up position as shown in Figure 7.

Insert the syringe needle through the bottom of the carriage assembly and use your 
finger to carefully guide the needle through the hole in the needle guide (see Figure 8). 

 

CAUTION 

Be careful not to bend the needle when inserting it into the hole in the needle 
guide.
