STEP 1: Starting

Be sure that the basic V530-C300E components have been con-
nected correctly. page 10

Turn ON the power supply to the V530-C300E.
The RUN indicator will light.
!Caution
Do not turn OFF the power supply for 30 seconds after turning
ON the power supply. Data in memory may be destroyed, possi-
bly preventing correct operation in the future.
Note
The buzzer on the Scanner may sound or the OK indicator or illu-
mination may light for 30 seconds after power is turned back ON,
but this does not indicate a malfunction.

STEP 2: Setting Reading Conditions
The DIP switch on the Controller is set according to the code being
read.
