DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
The print test carried out by the facsimile machine contains a numbered scale and a message
concerning the operating status of the nozzles.
Correct
If the numbered scale appears as in the figure below:
and the message concerning the print head nozzles is ALL NOZZLES OK!, this means that the
print head is correctly inserted and all the electrical circuits are working. Press STOP to terminate
the procedure.
Defective
If the numbered scale appears as in the figure below:
and the message displayed is ALL NOZZLES OK!, this means that there is a mechanical problem.
If this is the case, consult the table below:
CAUSE
ACTION
The paper used has a very porous
surface.
Try printing on the other side of the sheet or else
use a different type of paper.
There is a particle on the printing nib
that the print head pad cannot
remove.
Remove the print head. Remove the particle with
care, making sure you do not touch the electrical
contacts or the printing nib. Reinsert the print head
and follow the "Automatic Nozzle Cleaning and
Testing Procedure".
The printing nib is dirty.
Carry out the "Cleaning the Print Head Pad"
procedure.
Some of the nozzles are blocked.
Carry out the "Purging the Print Head" procedure
(max. three times). If this does not work, replace
the print head.
