Inhibit transmission password
Enables you to prevent unauthorized persons from carrying out any kind of transmission
transaction. It is requested when you start to dial the facsimile number or before storing the
document if you are trying to carry out a broadcast transmission.
-
Inhibit copying password
Enables you to prevent unauthorized copying on the facsimile machine. It is requested when
you press COPY to activate the copying operation
.
The latter two passwords are enabled by specific configuration parameters. They may be changed
or deleted

BE DISABLED when you use the machine in communication with a personal computer in that they
prevent transmission and reception operations from being performed.
CLOSED NETWORK
This feature enables you to limit the number of remote users with which communication is to take
place on your facsimile machine. It can regulate both transmission operations, for example, in
multi-user work environments, where the machine could be used indiscriminately with consequent
additional costs, and reception operations, for example, to avoid receiving undesired documents
(advertising material, propaganda, etc.). The numbers of the remote correspondents enabled for
communication with your facsimile machine are managed by checking the last 4 or 6 digits of the
facsimile numbers

The closed network feature can be activated by two separate set-up parameters:
-
CLOSED NETWORK IN TX
Enables transmission exclusively to correspondents whose facsimile numbers have been
stored as one-touching dialling or speed dialling numbers and declared as belonging to the
network by setting the corresponding Closed Network parameter to YES, while storing the
IDs. Attempts to transmit using other methods of dialling or to correspondents whose
numbers have been stored for one-touch or speed dialling but do not belong to the network
(with the Closed Network parameter set to NO), will not be accepted.
-
CLOSED NETWORK IN RX
Enables you to receive exclusively from correspondents whose facsimile numbers have been
stored as one-touch dialling or speed dialling numbers and declared as belonging to the
network by setting the corresponding Closed Network parameter to YES, while storing the
IDs. The machine will not receive documents sent by correspondents whose numbers have
been stored for one-touch or speed dialling but do not belong to the network (with the Closed
Network parameter set to NO).
