Press the NO key to cycle through the settings for the user function,
then press the YES key to confirm your selection. The name of the
next user function appears in the display.
Note:
If you are changing your fax machine’s 9:TX MODE
DEFAULT settings, the new settings will appear on the LED
above

OF

To select another user function, press the STOP key and return to
step 4.
7.
Press the SELECT FUNCTION key to finish.
Setting distinctive ring
Note:
In some countries, distinctive ring service is not available from
the local telephone company.
1.
Press the SELECT FUNCTION key.
2.
Press the 9/USER PROG. One Touch key.
3.
Press the YES key. The display will prompt you to enter a function
number.
4.
Using the numeric keypad, enter 12. The display will confirm that
distinctive ring has been selected and that the current setting is OFF.
5.
Press the NO key to change the setting to SET.
6.
Press the YES key. The display will indicate that the fax machine is
setting up the fax ring, and instruct you to ring your fax number now.
7.
Using a separate telephone line, immediately dial the number
assigned to the fax machine (you must do this within 90 seconds).
When your fax machine begins to ring, the display confirms that the
fax machine is auto detecting the ring pattern.
8.
The fax machine memorises its assigned ring pattern. When it has
finished programming this pattern, the display confirms that the
distinctive ring is now set to ON.
9.
Press the YES key to confirm your selection.
10. Press the SELECT FUNCTION key to finish.
Note:
Occasionally, your fax machine may not be able to detect the
ring pattern on its first try. In this case the display will not
