1 REAR TRANSMISSION HOUSING
Disassembly:
• Remove the rear wheel as described in chapter 2,
section F;
• Unscrew the connecting screw “A” between the rear
transmission housing and the chassis rod, keeping the
check nut locked;
• Remove the rear transmission housing by detaching
the joint connecting the tranmission pinion;
Disassembly:
• Remove the universal joint cover by unscrewing the 4
nuts “B”;
• unscrew the two screws “C” fastening the joint “D” to
the rear transmission housing ;
IMPORTANT
There is an O ring “E” on the end of the joint
which must be lubricated upon every
disassembly.
• Unscrew the four stud bolts “F” to remove the ring nut
retainer “G”;
• Unscrew the ring nut “H” using the special tool;
• Unscrew the nut “L” on the transmission pinion as the
pinion extractor must be applied to its threading;
• Unscrew the 8 screws “M” fastening the cover “N”;
• Remove the cover “N”;
• using the special extractor, remove the pinion together
with bushing and bearings;
