Removal 1:
•
Place a support under the motorbike so you can lift
the front wheel from the ground;
•
Unscrew the screws “A” which fasten the calipers “B”
to the fork struts and detach the calipers from the brake
disks;
•
Using the special key, unscrew nut “C” restraining the
wheel spindle;
•
Loosen the 4 screws “D” fastening the spindle to the
fork struts;
•
Detach spindle “E” and remove the wheel.
For information on overhauling, see chapter 3 in this section.
Reassembly 1:
After having carried out all the necessary tests on the
wheel, reassemble in the following way:
•
Insert the complete wheel between the fork struts;
•
Lubricate the wheel pin’s shaft and threading with
recommended grease;
•
Bring the spindle flush with the wheel hub;
•
Grease the threading and underhead of the locking nut
“C”, then tighten it onto the end of the wheel spindle;
•
Tighten the 4 screws “D” to the prescribed torque;
•
Tighten the nut “C” to the prescribed tightening torque;
•
Check that the disks move freely inside the calipers
and then repeatedly activate the brake lever to restore
the normal position of the caliper pistons.
