Step 9 Test Decode Rate with Moving Label
Once you’ve mounted the scanner and established a good read rate with a station-
ary label, you can repeat the test with a moving label.
To ensure reliable scanning, you need to apply a minimum of five scans to each
label. This means that all variables, label speed, read range, etc. are significant.
To calculate in advance the number of scans that the label will receive, use the for-
mulas described in Appendix G, “Number of Scans,” on page A-18 .
