The view
Combined
(Cross profile – median Length profile), see Fig. 46 provides the
user two important information. On the one hand, thickness distribution by means of
width is shown in the cross profile and on the other and thickness trend of production is
visualized in the length profile.
A square for each measuring point is displayed in the cross profile. Setpoint (blue), lower
and upper warning value (orange) and lower and upper threshold value (red) are dis-
played on the y-axis. When the tolerance limit is exceeded the color changes to orange
resp. red
Position
Shows the current position of the measurement carriage. It is also
shown in the diagram by a red cursor line.
Width
Shows the measured width of the product.
Thickness
Shows the thickness value of the current measured product.

In the view length profile the y-axis is scaled as in the view cross profile. A rectangle
marks the measured median of a cross profile. A blue color change shows that the medi-
an is within the tolerance. If the value is outside warning resp. alert limits, color changes
to orange resp. red. The horizontal line below and above the rectangle shows the mini-
mum resp. maximum measured thickness value of the cross profile.
Length
Shows the length of the measured material numerically at the time of the
last measured cross profile.
Median
Shows the median of the last cross profile.

All numerical views can be enlarged by clicking the square symbol (to the right of the
numerical value). The numerical value is displayed in an own display window; a new tab
is inserted in the view bar. This view can be closed by clicking this button
.
5.8.6 View Cross Profile
This view displays information about the current cross profile. It corresponds to the dia-
gram of the
Combined profile
.
In the cross profile view an additional difference view can be shown. The difference view
displays the differences between current measurements and the nominal profile. Red
bars illustrate here a high deviation to the nominal profile.
