Safety
System operation assumes knowledge of the operating instructions.
1.3.1 Symbols Used
The following symbols are used in these operating instructions:
CAUTION

Indicates hardware or a software button/menu.
1.3.2 Intended Use

The MTS 8202.LLT measuring system is used for non-contact thickness measure-
ments of belts/strips and plates.

The measuring system must only be operated within the limits specified in the techni-
cal data

The measuring system must be used in such a way that no persons are endangered
or machines are damaged in the event of malfunction or total failure of the measuring
system.

Take additional precautions for safety and damage prevention in case of safety-related
applications.
