9 Maintenance
Unauthorized persons are not allowed to open the Eurotest instrument. There are no user
replaceable components inside the instrument, except the battery and fuses under rear cover.
9.1
Fuse replacement
There are three fuses under back cover of the Eurotest instrument.
F1
M 0.315 A / 250 V, 20

This fuse protects internal circuitry for continuity functions if test probes are connected to
the mains supply voltage by mistake during measurement.
F2, F3
F 4 A / 500 V, 32
6.3 mm (breaking capacity: 50 kA)
General input protection fuses of test terminals L/L1 and N/L2.

Warnings:
Disconnect all measuring accessory and switch off the instrument before opening battery
/ fuse compartment cover, hazardous voltage inside!
Replace blown fuse with original type only, otherwise the instrument or accessory may
be damaged and/or operator’s safety impaired!
9.2
Cleaning
No special maintenance is required for the housing. To clean the surface of the instrument or
accessory use a soft cloth slightly moistened with soapy water or alcohol. Then leave the
instrument or accessory to dry totally before use.
Warnings:
Do not use liquids based on petrol or hydrocarbons!
Do not spill cleaning liquid over the instrument!
9.3
Periodic calibration
It is essential that the test instrument is regularly calibrated in order that the technical
specification listed in this manual is guaranteed. We recommend an annual calibration. Only an
authorized technical person can do the calibration. Please contact your dealer for further
information.

Service
For repairs under warranty, or at any other time, please contact your distributor.
