4.3.1
Power Wiring
The LumaSMART controller accepts nominal power of 90 to 264 VAC or 127 to 370 VDC, 47 to 63 Hz. The internal
power supply generates 5 VDC.
Caution:
To protect the instrument, do not operate the LumaSMART above the factory default
voltage levels.
Power Wiring Diagram
Warning:
Exercise proper electrical procedures when wiring the electrical input power connectors
to assure complete insulation of electrical conductors.
The power supply is internally short-circuit and overload protected. No power cord is supplied with the
LumaSMART system. Connect a cable appropriate for a Phoenix MC 1.5/3-STF-3.81 (Part # 1827716) connector
with Phoenix AI 0.75-8 GY Ferrule (Part # 3200519). The power cable must be at least 20 AWG and UL 1061 (300V,
80C) approved. Be sure to wire the ground to the system’s screw.
The LumaSMART system requires that there be a circuit breaker on the power line that feeds it as a secondary line.
This circuit breaker is used to power the unit ON and OFF. The LumaSMART system does not include any external
switches or circuit breakers. Consult local building codes for the appropriate switch or circuit breaker to install.
Externally fuse for 200W.
4.3.2
Analog Output Wiring
Optionally, the LumaSMART can provide Analog Output Current (AOC) options (self-powered). The AOC option
maintains a maximum compliance of 10V. Use the MC 1.5/8-SFT-3.81 connector from Phoenix Contact (Part #
1827761) to make the external connection to the analog output port. The optional ferrule is Part # 3200519.
Note:
The analog output cluster is fully floating; therefore, users must supply a ground connection.
The preferred connection is to the analog return terminal.
