Green
Signal strength is above 60%.
Yellow
Signal strength is between 10% and 59% and the probe signal strength is marginal. This marginal
signal strength could be caused by a slightly loose connection, dirt between the connections, or a
probe that is bending more than the allowable bending radius.
Red
Signal strength is between 0% and 9% and the probe signal has failed. Common reasons for a failed
probe signal are a broken probe, a broken extension cable, loose or no connection with the
controller, or loose or no connection with the tank wall penetrator plate.
An indication of red with “DSBL” as text indicates that the channel is disabled, See Section 5.2.1.6
Relay Testing/Simulation
The Relay Testing and Simulation screen is designed to allow you to test your relay configuration settings by
simulating a temperature reading from one or more temperature monitoring input channels. This is done to
ensure that the relay settings (configured via Section 5.2.1.4 for
and Control screen) are correct.
Relay Testing and Simulation Screen
Though it is highly recommended that actual sensors or phosphor probes are used since they actually verify the
FOT modules ability to monitor temperature, this simulation mode can be used to exercise the logic associated
with the relays.
To test your relay settings, set the desired temperature for each
channel and then press the
Simulate
button. The system will use the
logic settings established in the relay settings (see Section 5.2.1.4 for
) to energize or deenergize the relays in the system.
The temperature can be changed by pressing the up/down arrows
associated with the individual channels. You can also double tap the
channel temperature to display the screen that allows you to directly
enter the temperature.
Erase Data Log
This function allows the operator to erase
ALL
history logs within the LumaSMART. Since the internal storage has
enough room to store more than 40 years of daily temperature history, there should never be a need to use this
function. A password is required to invoke the erasure. Prior to erasing, the Data Log History should be backed up.
