Choose an e-mail server protocol:
MAPI
(Messaging Application Programming Interface) is the
Microsoft interface specification that allows different messaging
and workgroup applications (including e-mail, voice mail, and fax) to
work through a single client, such as the Exchange client. MAPI uses
the default Windows e-mail application (usually Outlook Express).
SMTP
(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is a TCP/IP protocol for
sending messages from one computer to another through a
network. This protocol is used on the Internet to route e-mail. In
many cases no account is needed.

If you chose MAPI, touch inside the
Originator Address (From:)
data
entry field and use the pop-up keyboard to type in the instrument's
e-mail address. Then touch inside the
Default Recipient Address
(To:)
data entry field and use the pop-up keyboard to enter the
recipient's e-mail address.
OR
If you chose SMTP, touch inside the
SMTP Server
data entry field
and use the pop-up keyboard to enter the name of your server.
Touch inside the
Originator Address (From:)
data entry field and
use the pop-up keyboard to type in the instrument's e-mail address.
Then touch inside the
Default Recipient Address (To:)
data entry
field and use the pop-up keyboard to enter the recipient's e-mail
address.

To send a test e-mail text message, touch the
Send Test Mail
button. The test message reads "Test mail from [name of
oscilloscope's email address]."
