Configuring the Central Module
The "Surface -> Central Module" branch of the 'Tree Defintion' defines the programmable functions of the Central
Module. Note that the same parameters can be accessed by double-clicking on the Central Module in the
ruby Central Module: MF Key Layout
The programmable functions are:
MF Keys (1 to 28) & Rotary Controls (VCA 1 & 2)
Depending on the configuration, each rotary control can adjust two parameters: turn to adjust the first (e.g.
monitor level); push down and turn to adjust the second (e.g. monitor balance).
Ambient Light Detectors
The two detectors automatically adjust the brightness of buttons and displays according to the ambient light level.
The configuration can disable the sensor or assign an on/off MF Key.
MF Keys 45 & 46
On consoles with more than one layer, these are usually programmed to provide global layer switching.
MF Keys (29 to 44) & Rotary Controls (VCAs 3 to 6)
The four sets of upper rotary controls, small MF Keys and OLED displays interact with the 12 Function Buttons:
INP, DYN, LIM, etc.
When none of the Function Buttons are active, the controls have a default functionality that is programmed by the
configuration.
