20. Maintenance

20.3.1 First Steps

1.

Start the programme by selecting

START

->

Program Files

->

OnAirDesigner

->

SoP Explorer

on your

PC.

This is the default file path created during a standard install.

Select

Unit

->

New

from the main menus, and enter the IP address of the Lawo system - for example, the

default address is

192.168.101.240

. Then select

OK

SoP Explorer connects to the control system and analyses the current software revisions for each of the main
system components:

Surface

, etc.

Use the

and

-

signs to open and close the system branches and view the status of each software module:

The default unit name is

Zirkon

. This can be edited from the

window if you have multiple systems

and wish to easily identify them within SoP Explorer.

SoP Explorer compares the current software revisions to the latest release files which were copied onto your
computer's hard disk during the ON-AIR Designer installation. If a software module is up to date, then you will see
a green tick (as shown above). If a different status icon appears, then you may need to update either the complete
system or an individual module. See

Checking the Software Status

4.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each Lawo system connected to your network.

If you have multiple systems, it is a good idea to edit the system

Name

so that it can be easily identified.
