Routing Matrix Control

Matrix Control Panel Example

Using a matrix module, you can create a screen-based matrix controller. Two options are supported:

·

Matrix 128 * 128 Control

- an XY matrix panel of 128 x 128.

·

Matrix Control

- an XY matrix panel of 90 x 30 (switched in pages).

In both cases, the configuration requires two stages: first use the ON-AIR Designer to prepare the system
configuration, and then use VisTool Editor to edit the VisTool project.

System Configuration

1.

Turn on the

option for all the inputs and outputs which are to be used with the matrix.

2.

Name the inputs and outputs so that they use 6 characters or less, as VisTool screen buttons can

display up to 6 characters.

Both steps can be performed by double-clicking on the relevant IO cards in the

configuration.

3.

Add a Matrix Control Panel to the

configuration.

You can choose either a

Matrix 128 * 128 Module

or

Matrix Control Module

. The panel defines the matrix

control keys which are then available within VisTool.
