3.7 Power Switch and Default Settings

Note
Do not turn the machine OFF while it is making copies or printing,
otherwise a paper misfeed may occur. Make sure that all copy/print
operations are finished before turning the machine OFF.
Do not turn the machine OFF while it is sending or receiving a fax,
otherwise a transmission error or paper misfeed may occur. Make
sure that all fax transmissions/receptions are finished before turning
the machine OFF.

Note
When the machine is turned off, all settings except the stored copy
programs and Initial Set mode settings are reset to their defaults.
If the machine is not used for 15 min, it automatically enters Power
Save mode.
The length of time until the machine enters Power Save mode or
automatically shuts off can be specified using functions in the Initial
Set mode. For details, refer to “Specifying Machine Settings
(“MACHINE SETTING” Menu)” on page 9-2.
Turning the Machine On and Off
To turn the machine ON
➜ Set the Power Switch to “|”.
To turn the machine OFF
➜ Set the Power Switch to “O”.
