Making Copies for Filing (“Image Shift” function)
So that copies can easily be stored in filing binders, copies can be made
with a file margin.
Left-side binding:
Copies are printed with the contents of
the document slightly shifted to the right
in order to create a binding margin at
the left.
Precautions on the Binding Margin Location
To make copies using the “Image Shift” function

Load the document to be copied.

Press the [IMAGE SHIFT] key to
light the “IMAGE SHIFT” indicator.

Do you know how large of a
binding margin is created?

The width for the binding can be
set between 0 mm and 20 mm,
in 1 mm increments. The default
setting is 10 mm.

The width of the binding margin can be changed using the
“MARGIN SETTING” function in the Initial Set mode (p. 9-36).

If necessary, specify any other copy settings.

Enter the number of copies to be made on the KEYPAD, and then
press the [START] key.
