Withdraw the belt from the retractor,
guide it untwisted across the body and
insert the latch plate into the buckle.
Make sure the belt fits tightly to the body
while driving.

Loose or bulky clothing prevents the belt
from fitting snugly. Do not place objects
such as handbags or mobile phones
between the belt and your body.

GENERAL WARNING FOR USING
THE SEAT BELTS
Respect and ensure that all the other
occupants of the car comply with the
local laws in force regarding the use of
seat belts.
Always fasten the seat belts before
setting off.
The seat belt strap must not be twisted.
The upper part must pass over the
shoulder and cross the chest diagonally
fig. 138. The lower part must adhere to
the pelvis, not to the abdomen of the
occupant. Never use devices (clips,
clamps, etc.) that hold the seat belt
away from your body.

Each seat belt must be used by only
one person. Never travel with a child
sitting on the passenger's lap and a
single belt to protect them both fig. 139.
In general, do not place any objects
between the person and the belt.
