Fuse replacement
If the fuse blows or the transceiver stops functioning, find the
source of the problem if possible, and replace the damaged
fuse with a new, rated one (FGB 20 A) as shown in the dia-
gram below.
■
Partial resetting
If you want to initialize the operating conditions without clear-
ing the memory contents, etc., a partial reset function is avail-
able for the transceiver. The partial reset can be performed
independently for each band.
While pushing either left or right, or both [V/MHz] switches,
turn power ON to partially reset the transceiver.
➧
Initialized settings:
VFO frequency, SET mode settings.
➧
Retained settings:
Memory channels, call channels, offset
freq. in memory/call, DTMF memory,
pager and code squelch settings, initial
SET mode settings.
■
Resetting the transceiver
The function display may occasionally display erroneous in-
formation, (e.g. when first applying power). This may be
caused externally by static electricity or other factors.
If this problem occurs, turn power OFF. After waiting a few
seconds, turn power ON again. If the problem persists, per-
form the following procedure.
Partial resetting is alternatively available. See previous sec-
tion for details.
➀
Push [POWER] to turn power OFF.
➁
While pushing both left and right [S.MW] switches, turn
power ON.
• All LCD segments appear momentarily, the initial display appears
and the transceiver is reset.
CAUTION:
Resetting the transceiver
CLEARS
all
memory information, and initializes all values in the trans-
ceiver.
