Acoustic Cover
The acoustic cover reduces the noise level of the printer while it is
printing.
Notes:
1. Do not open or close the access cover by holding only the
acoustic cover. Open and close the acoustic cover separately
from the access cover.
2. If you have installed the F2 forms device, you must open the
acoustic cover to use the tear bar.
Access Cover
Opening the access cover:
Gives you access to the top of the printer for:
– Cleaning
– Changing ribbon cartridges
– Loading or changing forms devices
Causes printing and forms movement to slow down.
Note: The printer may also display status code 090. See
“Status Codes” on page B-3 for more information.
Front Paper Door
Opening the front paper door:
Gives you access to the front area of the printer where paper is
loaded
Provides access for loading forms devices
Causes printing and forms movement to slow down.
