Replacement
1. Touch the static-protective bag containing the drive to any unpainted metal surface
on the system, then, remove the drive from the bag and place it on a
static-protective surface.
2. Set any jumpers or switches on the device according to the documentation provided
with the drive. Refer to “SCSI IDs and Bay Locations” on page 9 for SCSI id
information.
3. Install any blue slides removed previously.
4. Place the device so that the slide rails engage in the bay guide rails. Do not push
the device all the way into the bay.
5. Connect the signal and power cables.
6. Push the device into the bay until it clicks into place.
7. Install any media devices removed earlier.
8. Replace the bezel as described in “Bezels” on page 253.
9. Replace the covers as described in “Service Access Cover” on page 251.
