The Advanced tab of the “Configuration > Digital Teleprotection > Slot n – TPS” page allows
the user to configure the Tx and Rx logic start bits of the Digital Teleprotection module. These
two settings control the logic bit settings for all four channels of one module.

Below the logic bit settings entry fields there is a table which shows all logic bit values, based
on the settings in the two text fields above. User does not have to click “Save” to update the
table. The table is updated dynamically as the values are entered. This table allows an advanced
user to verify that any one logic bit has or hasn’t been assigned the right value.
1.
Tx Logic Start Bit
: This is a number-only field whose setting determines the value of
the Tx logic bits for the applicable Digital Teleprotection module.
Note
: The value of the Tx Logic Start Bit must be less than or equal to (Rx Logic Start
Bit – 32). Or, it must be greater than or equal to (Rx Logic Start Bit + 48). If neither of
these conditions is met, the error message below is presented.

Rx Logic Start Bit
: This is a number-only field whose setting determines the value of
the Rx logic bits for the applicable Digital Teleprotection module.

: Below the logic bit settings entry fields there is a table which shows all
logic bit values, calculated from the settings in the two text fields above. This table
