Specifications
a. Measurements are always made with error correction enabled.
b. Center frequency is set to 1 GHz.
c. “Cycle Time” is the time required for the analyzer to finish one complete sweep cycle includ-
ing the forward sweep, retrace, bandcrossings, and calculation time when in the “Continuous
Sweep” mode.
d. This is the time to recall both the system state and calibration data.
e. “Data Transfer” is performed using an HP S700 workstation. The HP-IB port is used to
transfer “corrected” 64-bit, floating point numbers (real and imaginary).
f. A “Measurement Cycle” is defined as the time required for an HP S700 workstation to con-
trol the analyzer to: (1) recall the state and calibration (analyzer is now in “sweep hold”
mode), (2) sweep (using the “:INIT1;*OPC?” command), and (3) transfer data. This may be
less than the sum of the other columns since a complete “Cycle Time” doesn’t need to be done
for the controller to transfer data.
