TIMESTAMP Command
TEDIT Command Example
The following example illustrates using TEDIT to change a source file interactively; it
also illustrates how DDL handles a default EDIT-file name and PS Text Edit parameter:
TIMESTAMP Command
The TIMESTAMP command instructs the DDL compiler to include (or suppress) date
and time comments on DDL or host-language source listings.
TIMESTAMP
includes date and time comments on host-language source listings. TIMESTAMP
is the default.
NOTIMESTAMP
suppresses the date and time comments on DDL or host-language source listings.
TIMESTAMP Command Guidelines
The following points are guidelines for using the TIMESTAMP command:
•
DDL produces a number of starred timestamp comments on the listings of DDL or
host-language source code. A comment at the beginning of the listing tells the date
and time the schema was produced; individual comment lines preceding each
section tell when each DDL object was created.
•
You can suppress these timestamp comments with NOTIMESTAMP and then
include them with a subsequent TIMESTAMP.
