FUP Command
FUP Command Example
The following example illustrates an interactive session in which FUP source code is
generated from a record in the dictionary.
FUPSRC will contain the following FUP source code:

To create the file CUSTOMER and its alternate key file CUSTOME0, enter the
following command:
35> FUP/IN fupsrc/
34> DDL DICT
!?FUP fupsrc !
!OUTPUT RECORD customer.
?NOFUP
!EXIT
Run DDL and open dictionary
Open FUPSRC; if file exists, purge existing data
Get record from dictionary, write FUP file-
creation commands to FUPSRC
Close FUPSRC
Exit from DDL
