guration Utility (ACU) is a browser-based tool used to con
fi
gure an array controller and
its storage. The ACU
The ACU is supported for use in Windows, Linux, and NetWare environments and can run locally
through a browser, remotely through HP Systems Insight Manager (HP-SIM), or of
fl
ine from the MSA
Support Software CD.
The ACU:
•
Runs online in Windows and Linux environments.
•
Runs of
fl
ine (from a bootable CD) in other ProLiant server environments such as NetWare.
•
Provides a graphical view of HP drive array con
fi
gurations.
•
Includes easy-to-use con
fi
guration Wizards.
•
Provides different operating modes, enabling faster con
fi
guration or greater control over the
con
fi
guration options.
•
Suggests the optimum con
fi
guration for uncon
fi
gured systems.
•
Displays on-screen tips for individual steps of a con
fi
guration procedure.
•
Allows the setting of access privileges to speci
fi
c storage LUNs to be limited to speci
fi
c hosts.
•
Supports online array capacity expansion, logical drive extension, assignment of online spares, and
RAID or stripe size migration
NOTE:
For optimum performance, the minimum display settings are 800 × 600 resolution and 256 colors.
Servers running Microsoft operating systems require Internet Explorer 5.5 (with Service Pack 1) or later.
