Section 5 Programming
This section lists the programmable features in programming mode and the procedures for each of them. The
options available are general options, line card options, and user options.
NOTE
After you complete your programming of the receiver, it is recommended that you make a
printout of the programmed values for reference. To make a printout of the programmed values,
see “
How to Print System Configuration
” on page 4–13 and perform a Print All operation.
5.1 UL 864 Programming Requirements
NOTICE TO USERS, INSTALLERS, AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION, AND
OTHER INVOLVED PARTIES:
This product incorporates field programmable software. In order
for the product to comply with the requirements in the Standard for Control Units and Accessories
for Fire Alarm Systems, UL 864, certain programming features or options must be limited to
specific values or not used at all as indicated below.

5.2 How to Enter Program Mode
Follow these steps to enter into program mode:
1. Log on to the receiver (see Section 4.4.4 for log on procedure).
2. Press
the
ENTER
MENU
button.
3. Press
the
7
button.
4. Select the option you wish to program. (See Section 5.3 for options.)

Fields
In program mode there are three types of programming fields that data can be entered into. Table 5–1 list
the three types of fields and the various parameters associated with them.
