CHECK POINTS
BACK-UP RING
SLIDER AND GUIDE BUSH
COPPER SURFACE
GUIDE BUSHING/SLIDER BUSHING/BACK-UP RING
Visually inspect the slider and guide bushings.
Replace the bushings if there is excessive scoring or
scratching, or if the teflon is worn so the copper surface
appears on more than 3/4 of the entire surface.
Check the back-up ring; replace it if there is any distortion
at the points shown.
If the slider busing will be removed, carefully remove the
slider bushing by prying the bushing gap with a
screwdriver until the bushing can be pulled off by hand.
NOTE:
Do not remove the slider bushing, unless it is necessary
to replace with a new one.
