2.2 Installing and Removing the Software

NOTE
When installing the software, if other programs are running it may not be possible
to complete the installation properly. Close all other programs before beginning the
installation. In particular, if any anti-virus program is running, it may prevent the
installation even though this software is not a virus. In this case, make the
appropriate settings in the anti-virus program to allow the installation to proceed.
2.2 Installing and Removing the Software
Installation
Use the following procedure to install the software.
1. Close all running applications.
2. Insert the supplied CD-R disc into the CD-ROM drive.
3. Run the setup file on the CD-R.
Click Run on the Start menu, then type R:\9334ENGLISH\setup.exe and
click OK. (Substitute the appropriate letter for R if your CD-ROM drive
uses a different name.)
4. The 9334 installer starts: follow the directions on the screen to complete
the installation.
5. If Internet Explorer 4.01 or later is not installed, install it. For the latest
version of Internet Explorer, see the Microsoft Web site, or a computer
magazine.
Removal
Use the following procedure to remove the software.
1. On the Windows Start menu, point to Settings and click Control Panel.
Double-click the
Add/Remove Programs
icon, to display the
Add/Remove
Programs Properties
dialog box.
2. On the
Install/Uninstall
tab of the dialog box, click
9334 LOGGER
COMMUNICATOR
in the list of applications, then click
Add/Remove
.
This runs the uninstaller, which removes the 9334 software. All the
transferred data files remain, but can be removed manually when they are no
longer required.
