sensor is installed in the cooling water
flow, which monitors the cooling water
temperature for compliance with the
permissible range of 19-24°C. In the
cooling water circuits 1-4 throttles are
installed for flow balancing and for
venting the system. The setting of the
throttles must not be changed! A flow
sensor is installed in each individual cir-
cuit to record the flow. The sum of the
individual flows is continuously moni-
tored by the system for the minimum
value
.
Filling and Venting the Cooling Circuit
If the cooling water circuit is fully connected, the system can be filled.
You can fill the system when the ERS is ready to boot and then the solenoid valve can be controlled
via the commissioning-menu. Alternatively you can also control the solenoid valve with a separate
24V power supply and a standard valve connector. The switch for activation of the solenoid valve can
be found under Setup/Device parameters (password 1500). When you have opened the solenoid valve,
the cooling water will flow through the ERS. Afterwards check, whether all connections at the water
block are tight, or whether leaks are present.

Remove the protective caps from all throttle valves
Close all throttles of the cooling water circuit with a
size 5 Allen key.
Now only one cooling water sub-circuit is open and is
fully flowed through.
Now switch the solenoid valve several times. Any air
bubbles in the sub-circuit will be flushed out.
Then open the throttle of the rearmost water circuit (4)
at the water block.
Now switch the solenoid valve on and off again and
vent the ERS system.
Close the throttle of the current sub-circuit again.
Continue with the next circuit until you have vented all sub-circuits one by one.
After all circuits have been vented, open all the throttles again and mount the caps.
The flow rates of the individual circuits can be read on the display of the PLC in the HTS cabinet.
Please note that the flow rate differs between the sub-circuits.
