Safety Concept
⚠
To ensure safe operation of the ERS and the adjacent test bench the following has to be observed:
Devices of the Heinzinger ERS series may only be commissioned and used by trained technical per-
sonnel.
For safety reasons, the ERS system must be connected to the safety circuit of the test environment
/ test bench.
The following safety features are integrated in the device:
Main switch on the control cabinet to separate the 400
V three-phase supply. Short circuit interrup-
tion up to 80
kA (IEC/EN 60947).
Emergency stop switchgear for integration into the external emergency stop of the test system =>
Opening the loop switches off and disconnects the output and power electronics (24 V-auxiliary sup-
ply and control systems stay active).
Channel stop (optional) => switch off a single channel without affecting the 2nd channel.
Perfor-
mance Level C (optional) or Performance Level D (optional)
Safe separation (Optional) using a double set of redundant contactors at the output
Signal lamps (Optional)
Insulation monitoring of each channel (optional)
Quick discharge of the internal DC link
Quick discharge circuit for the load (optional)
WARNING
The device is designed for integration into the overall safety concept of the test bench. Oper-
ation is not permitted otherwise due to the possibility of personal injury and malfunction of
or damage to the device.
Signal Lights (optional)
The signal lamps are positioned on the roof of the device and can be repositioned using the magnetic
foot
For each channel the device signals the current status through lighting up a color (from top to bot-
tom):
Red:
Error at the channel
Blue:
Warning at the channel
Yellow:
Current is active(Chanel working as source or sink)
White:
Output contactors are closed
Green:
Channel operational
WARNING
Customer-specific deviations may occur! To avoid misunderstandings, please inform yourself
about the meaning of the signal lamps in your working environment before starting work!
