Linearization

For more information on the keys necessary to access this menu group, go to
the

Navigation Pilot

.

Linearization compensates for any variation of the scale characteristic (from
the ideal straight line) by setting up to 6 correction points adapted to the actual
scale characteristic.

The linearization software supports up to 6 correction points, though in practice
1 or 2 are almost always enough. The linearization points should be placed at
the points on the weight curve where the greatest variations occur. Lineariza
tion points must be lower than the set maximum load. The lines between adja
cent linearization points are calculated as straight, meaning the variations are
interpolated in linear mode.
