Optimization
When Optimization is active (parameter P1 > 0), the coarse flow and fine flow
phases are optimized by the sensor electronics. The minimum fine flow weight
(FFM) ensures compliance with the tolerances. This limit prevents the fine flow
component being minimized still further by increasing the coarse flow compo
nent.

Significance of parameter P1
A correction factor of 1 means that 100% of the difference between the actual
and target weight - i.e., between too much and too little fill material - is calcu
lated into the next cut‐off point. With a correction factor of 0.5, only 50% of the
difference is included in the calculation.
10.2.10
Re-Dosing
If the previously measured actual value is below the lower tolerance limit, re-
dosing is carried out. When optimization is active (parameter P1 > 0), the result
of a re-dosing operation does not change the cut-off points.
Re-dosing is carried out with a fine flow.
