Section 5 Maintenance and Alignment

STEP 3
Press [MORE] and then continue below.
•
INTLK LOG - ON or OFF (ON if you want interlock faults to be
entered into the Diagnostics Display Fault Log, OFF if you do not
want the interlock faults entered into the Fault Log). Combined trans-
mitters should be set to OFF, while single transmitter installations
should be set to ON. This can be changed later if so desired.
•
PSC Number - Number of Power Supply Controllers - 1 or 2. Set at 2
for the Z16HD+.
STEP 4
Press [BACK] to update the information and to go back one layer, then
press [B] POWER SETTINGS and setup the following screens for each
desired modulation format:
•
100% TPO SET. In this screen you will set the power to be displayed
as 100% on the FWD PWR meter.
•
MAX HIGH SET. This screen will let you set the upper limit the trans-
mitter will be allowed to go to in the High Mode of operation (105%
TPO is the MAX setting).
•
MAX LOW SET. This screen will let you set the upper limit the trans-
mitter will be allowed to go to in the Low Mode operation (Default is
50% TPO). When finished press [BACK] to update.
•
Press [A, B], UPS SET. This screen will let you set the power output
the transmitter will go to in the UPS Mode (Default is also 50% TPO).
When finished press [BACK] to update.
•
Press [A, C], LOW POWER ALARM. This screen lets you set the
power level at which the remote low power alarm is triggered. The
default for the low power alarm is 90% TPO. When finished press
[BACK] to update.
STEP 5
Press [BACK, D] to go to the FREQUENCY screen and enter the
transmitter operating frequency. Press [BACK] to update the
information. If the transmitter is to be used in an N + 1 operation then
just set to 98.1 MHz. Press [BACK] to update the information.
5.15.2 Calibration
To finish replacing the Master Controller and/or EEPROM U39 a complete calibration
is required.
To calibrate the transmitter refer to the following procedures in this order:
