Pressing the HELP key provides abbreviated setup instructions. The following
paragraphs elaborate on these instructions.
Note: The setup instructions provided by the HELP key are merely reminders and
are not intended to serve as a substitute for formal Haemonetics training on the
use of the CS5+.
1. Prepare the Collection — “Standby”

Install a collection reservoir and close the reservoir drain clamp.

Open the Aspiration and Anticoagulation set using aseptic technique. Pass
the sterile inner wrapped line to the sterile field. In the sterile field, attach
a plastic suction wand.
