Zoom:
Change the Zoom to expand or condense the horizontal scale. In the examples below, a Zoom of
1x (left) is compared with a Zoom of 2x (right). Note the stretching of targets in 2x Zoom.
H Cursor:
This button controls the visibility and position of the H Cursor. When H Cursor is On, a
horizontal yellow line that runs parallel to the top of the profile. Roll the Control Knob to move the cursor
up and down the profile. If you are using a survey wheel, the H Cursor with track the Backup Cursor as
you move the antenna backwards/forwards. You can then position the Backup Cursor and H Cursor on a
target of interest.
Dielectric:
Use this option to change the Dielectric constant. As you change the Dielectric value the
vertical scale will change as well. If you enable Show Hyperbola in the Output menu, changing the
dielectric will change the shape of the hyperbola. Use this to calculate the dielectric in real-time during
data collection. Note: in order to fit a hyperbolic curve to a hyperbolic reflector in your data, you must
enable Show Hyperbola (Output Menu), and then pull the antenna backwards to move the vertical cursor
to the desired location. In the examples below, an initial Dielectric of 8 was incorrect based on hyperbolic
matching (left). The Dielectric was changed to 15 (right), which resulted in a better hyperbolic match and
a more accurate depth correction.
