8. On the HP desktop double-click gems.reg to import it into the registry.
COPY THE PARAMETERS DIRECTORY FROM DELL TO HP
9. Copy the directory “C:\Program Files\GE Medical Systems\eXplore Utilities\Parameters” from
the Dell to the “C:\Program Files\GE Medical Systems\eXplore Utilities\” directory on the HP.
IMPORT THE FOLLOWING KEYS INTO THE HP REGISTRY
10. Double-click the file recon.reg on the HP’s Desktop
11. Double-click the file directories.reg on the HP’s Desktop
SWAP FRAME GRABBER AND BLUE HEAT SERIAL CARDS
12. Shut down the Dell and the HP computers.
13. Put on a grounded ESD wristband.
14. Remove the computer covers from both the Dell and HP.
15. Remove the Frame Grabber board from Slot 1 of the Dell computer and put it in Slot 1 of the
HP Computer.
16. Take the Blue Heat board from Slot 2 of the Dell computer and put it in Slot 2 of the HP
computer.
VERIFY TRANSFER
17. Reboot the HP computer.
18. Verify that the new HP computer scans and reconstructs as expected.
19. Back up the following files from the HP desktop:
- gems.reg
- recon.reg
- directories.reg.
