Specimen Slide
1.
Access the
X-ray and Motor Controller
software.
2.
Select
Elevation
from the drop down menu in the Motor field. Press the
Left (CW) Linear Home
button to move the stage up. Listen for any abnormal noises.
3.
Use a Teflon lubricating oil to lubricate the slide rails.

Limit Switches On Specimen Stage
1.
Visually inspect each limit switch and verify that nothing is blocking the sensor of the limit
switch.
2.
Access the
X-ray and Motor Controller
software and verify that sensor indicates it is clear.
3.
Select
Elevation
from the drop down menu in the Motor field. Press the
Left (CW) Linear Home
button to move the stage up. Verify that the software is registering the trigger - displays 'Left
(CW) is ON' in the Limit Switch Status.
4.
Press the
Right (CCW) Linear Home
button to move the stage down. Verify that 'Right (CCW)
is ON' is displayed in the Limit Switch Status.

Rotary Stage Assembly
1.
Access X-Ray and Motor Controller software and Select Rotation from the drop down menu in
the Motor field.
2.
Rotate, and listen for any abnormal noises.
8.2.9
Filter Wheel Assembly
1.
Visually inspect the filter wheel assembly for any defects.
2.
Verify that the filter wheel can turn to each setting. Ensure that there is clearance between the
shutter and the filter wheel assembly.
