Cannot Connect the Scanner and a Computer via a USB Cable

Check the following points

Did you select [Automatic] for the USB setting for the scanner? (page 189)

If the problem persists, check the items in

Solution

If you select [Automatic] for the USB setting for the scanner, the connection between the scanner and a
computer may not be able to be established.
Change the USB setting for the scanner to [USB 2.0] in the following procedure:

On the touch screen, press

→ [Scanner Settings] → [USB].

Select [USB 2.0].
